Innovatio et Victoria
Our Mission, Our Vision
QUARCC is Quebec’s first quant club. Our current focus is establishing Canada’s first student-led quant fund, providing hands-on experience in quantitative finance, investment strategies, and algorithmic approaches.
We enable students to publish research, develop quantitative products, and compete in international competitions. Through industry partnerships and weekly training, members gain practical skills in quantitative analysis and research.
QUARCC combines rigorous academic training with real-world applications to advance quantitative research and innovation.

Research
The research division at QUARCC is a hub for students to create research mandates in any field of study that interests them.
By writing a paper, members deepen their understanding of the theories they learn in class and broaden their horizons by learning the necessary statistical methods and by wielding powerful tools that help answer the research question more efficiently. In addition, this exercise improves the author’s soft skills. In academia and industry, insights only go as far as the message will carry them
Led by Casey Jussaume
Aims to equip members with quantitative solutions to answer research questions.

Competitions
Directed by Valentino Magniette-Bosseboeuf, this division focuses on building trading and portfolio algorithms, which are backtested and then deployed on simulations of the global exchanges. Using in-house access to market data and infrastructure, members can create trading strategies with minimal cost online. The division provides support for members to compete around the world and represent QUARCC, Concordia, and Canada as a whole.
The competition division is constantly evolving to provide students with more opportunities to test their skills in a high-pressure environment with a speaker series and internal trading competitions. This allows potential recruiters to observe in real time what our members are capable of.
